We believe that children learn more effectively and feel more secure if we work in partnership with parents. Our aim is to support parents as their children’s first and most important educators by involving them in their children’s education and in the full life of the setting. We encourage parents to ‘stay and play’ at the setting and include this in our daily routine.
We have termly parent days/evenings to discuss your child’s learning and development. We provide home learning packs to enhance each child’s learning at home, should parents wish.
We provide opportunities for parents to learn about the curriculum offered in the setting and have the areas of learning and planning accessible at all times. We also like to involve the parents and children in the planning of activities in the setting.
“partnerships between parents, other professionals, agencies, schools and other settings are well
established. Good communications ensure the children get the support they need as they move
between home and different learning environments.”-Ofsted
It’s amazing, my child’s confidence has significantly improved in a short space of time

Parent Forum Meeting – Thursday 27th Frebruary 2020
We held our first parent’s forum meeting. In the meeting we discussed the setting, moving forward, a childs day and other topics raised by both staff and parents. This was a great opportunity for the parents to get a good insight of what we are about here at Co-operative Play and Learn and also for the parents to be able to have their chance to voice their opinions, ideas and chat openly with staff.
